We fund those families most critically in need, focusing on the amount of indebtedness created as a result of cancer treatment. We consider criteria other than income, including number of and age of dependants; employment status; prognosis of the disease. Please check the Application page to be sure that you meet current criteria.
The program is designed to help adult cancer patients who are being treated in Santa Clara County. We do not fund out-of-area patients. Our goal is to help those who have lived in, and contributed to, our local community.
While most of our patients come from Stanford University Medical Center and Valley Medical Center, we have worked with patients from many other hospitals and clinics. The program helps patients who are being treated with any type of cancer.
